Build Store 2.0 guides you through creating and publishing a Shopify store. You’ll claim your store, choose a niche and homepage banners, activate a Shopify plan, customize your store, and make it live.
Open Build Store 2.0
In Dropship.io, select Build Store from the left-hand menu. You can also go directly to https://app.dropship.io/build-store/step-1.
1. Claim your Shopify store
When your store is ready, select Claim my store.
Shopify will open in a new tab.
If you already have a Shopify account, select Log in. Otherwise, follow Shopify’s prompts to create an account.
In Shopify, select Claim store and follow the prompts. Shopify may ask you to authorize an app installation to continue.
After the store is claimed, you’ll return to Dropship.io to continue setup.
2. Choose a niche
Select the niche you want your store to focus on, then select Continue.
The options shown include Fashion & Apparel, Electronics & Gadgets, Home & Garden, Pets, and Sport & Fitness.
3. Choose homepage banners
Select two banners for your store’s homepage, then select Continue.
4. Activate a Shopify plan
On the Build Store screen, select Activate my store. Shopify will open the plan checkout in a new tab.
Review the billing schedule on Shopify’s checkout page. In this example, the checkout shows a free 3-day trial, followed by $1 USD per month for three months, then $39 USD per month, plus applicable taxes. Offers and billing dates may vary, so check the terms shown on your checkout page.
If you agree to the terms, select Subscribe. After Shopify confirms the plan, return to the Build Store tab and continue setup.
5. Customize your store
Your store is almost ready! Select Customize my store to start the AI customization.
Important: Please don't refresh or close this page while your store is being customized. The process may take up to a minute.
6. Make your store live
Your Shopify store is password-protected until you turn off Private mode.
To make the store publicly accessible:
Select Access Shopify to open your store settings.
In Shopify, go to Preferences → Store access.
Turn off Private mode, then save your changes.
Return to Dropship.io and select Continue.
7. Connect your store to Dropship.io
Now your store is live, select Install Dropship app to connect it to Dropship.io and start importing products.
From this screen, you can also:
Select Access my store to open your Shopify store.
Select Create new store to start the setup again.
To find credentials for stores created with Build Store, select My Stores in the upper-right corner.
