The portfolio offers a curated product drop, specially selected for our subscribers, every Monday at 12 PM Eastern Time.

These product drops showcase the hottest-selling items within the Shopify universe, providing you with insights into popular trends and winning products.

This is ideal if you're seeking inspiration or lack the time to conduct product research yourself.

πŸ›ˆ Info: With the Portfolio feature, you no longer need to research winning products manually. We deliver them to your account; you only have to select one you want to sell.

Once you have signed in, click on PORTFOLIO at the left control panel, and you will see this:

Part 1: My Portfolio

We release product drops weekly, which you can see in the MY PORTFOLIO link or page (the screenshot above).

The countdown timer at the top shows how many days, hours, and minutes you must wait for the next drop. The blue numbers you see are the weekly numbers for the current month and the previous months.

For this example, I will click on the first week of March:

After clicking that, this is what I get:

There are several products here, not just three, so you can scroll down and view more until you find one that fits your niche.

In this example, I will click on VIEW DETAILS for the Wrist Washband. This is what you will see:

I highlighted three boxes, which I will explain below.

1. Quick Search

These are links where you can find the product on different platforms. If you click on the Amazon icon, you will see this:

As you can see, this page gives you visibility on how much other sellers price the same product on Amazon. If you click on the AliExpress icon, you will see this:

These are potential suppliers that you can work with in AliExpress.

There are other links you can click:

  • Facebook – see Facebook pages and ads for this product.

  • Alibaba – you will find wholesale suppliers of the same item on the Alibaba platform.

  • Google – find similar products on Google Shopping.

Use these quick links to find suppliers and understand what competitors are doing.

If you plan to dropship in the US, I suggest you look at your Amazon competitors. This is to determine how you can compete against them.

2. Import Product

You can import the product into the Portfolio in two ways: directly from your Shopify store or through AutoDs.

You can only import items from Dropship.IO to your Shopify store once you have already integrated the two platforms.

The process for AutoDS is the sameβ€”you can import the product to AutoDS, and from AutoDS, you can import the product to your store, not only on Shopify but also on other platforms like eBay, Amazon, etc.

3. Stats Box

The third area I highlighted is where you will fund quick stats. These numbers should help you decide whether or not the product is worth selling.

Here are the stats and how to interpret them:

  • Cost – the average capital price you pay to the supplier.

  • Price – the market retail price you can sell the product for; it is like the suggested retail price or SRP

  • Competitors – the number of Shopify stores selling the same product

  • Saturation – a measure of how competitive the product is; low saturation means low competition

  • Score – a proprietary mathematical algorithm we use to rate a product. A score of 10 means it is the best product you can sell right now.

  • P/C Ratio – it means price-to-cost ratio. You get this number by dividing the product cost by the price. The higher the ratio, the better, as it means more profit.

  • BECPA - stands for breakeven cost per acquisition. This number represents the maximum amount you need to spend to acquire a customer (cost per acquisition) to break even on the product cost. Spending more means you will lose money. The lower the BECPA, the better. A lower BECPA means you do not need to spend much on ads to recoup the product cost.

  • BEROAS - it also means breakeven return on ad spend. This number tells you the minimum amount of ROAS or return on ad spend needed to break even on the product cost. The lower it is, the better.

  • Profit Margin – the percentage of profit you can make against the product cost. Profit margin is the amount of money you earn divided by the selling price.

How you decide if this product is worth selling depends on your marketing activity. If you do not advertise, then the BECPA and BEROAS do not matter. Instead, you must look into profit margin and product cost stats.

If we scroll down further, we will see this:

This section highlights the pros and cons of selling this product. It is also where you can find some of the competitors. You can click on the URLs of the competitors to visit their stores.

Scrolling further, you will see example TikTok ads for the product:

Finally, you will see a list of interests that you can use to target audiences in your social media ads.

Part 2: Collections

If there are products you want to keep, you must create a collection and then save the products in these collections. The products will be easily accessible to youβ€”you no longer have to search for a specific date in the My Portfolio drops.

To start, click the COLLECTIONS link and then click on the CREATE COLLECTION button.

Next, name your collection and then click on CREATE COLLECTION.

This is what you will see:

Now we can go back to My Portfolio to search for products and add them to the collection. On the portfolio thumbnail, click on the ribbon beside the product name, then click on SAVE TO COLLECTION.

Next, click on the collection you want to save it to.

You can now go back to your collections and see that your collection folder has content.
